Rosalino Quintero

Ecuadorian guitar and requinto player (Cuenca, 1930-Guayaquil, 2011). He started playing professionally at the age of 12 and went to Guayaquil to try his luck and become successful. There he met the young singer [a=Julio Jaramillo] and accompanied him in his first auditions for radio. They became partners and Rosalino performed on most of Jaramillo's records, and became his musical director. he has also been Artistic Director of [l=Onix], one of the main record labels in Ecuador (mid 1950s to 1970).
