Tom Middleton (2)

Canadian singer and songwriter from Victoria, British Columbia, mainly active in the 1970's. Co-founder of The Marquis in 1967 and played with them until they broke up in '69 and he went solo. Signed with manager Howard Leese in 1972. Signed with [l= Columbia Records of Canada, Ltd.] and released his first album "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference" in May of 1973. Released his sophomore record, "One Night Lovers" in early 1976. After reissuing his first album that same year, Columbia cut him from their roster. He continued on the local area circuit for a few months, but eventually packed it in. Middleton resurrected The Marquis in 1990 for a reunion and still occasionally made appearances on the west coast, playing blues and jazz festivals, as well as the occasional club dates. By the mid 2000s he was basically retired from music and was working with Canada Post.
