Artur Gonçalves

Artur Gonçalves was born in Portugal (1935), Portugal. In the seventies he was an amazing singer, many times outcasted by more orthodox colleagues because of his left-wing, anti-fascist approach to Portuguese traditional songs. Among his most humoristic songs successful hits we find Fado songs such “As Cassetes” and Vira hits like "Vira Da Minha Terra (Vamos À Coina)". Victim of Alzheimer's dementia, he past away in Portugal (2016).
