Moritz Baumgärtner

German jazz drummer born in 1985 in Zurich, Switzerland . He began classical drumming at the age of nine in Basel, Switzerland. After having received private lessons in New York City from [a=Clarence Penn] and [a=Jochen Rueckert] in 2005, he studied at the Jazz Institute Berlin with [a=John Hollenbeck], [a=Jim Black], [a=Jeff Ballard], [a=Kurt Rosenwinkel] and [a=Greg Cohen].
