Kathi McDonald

September 25, 1948 – October 3, 2012. American Blues rock and psychedelic rock vocalist, primarily active in the early-to-mid 1970s. Fronted her own band, Kathi McDonald & Friends, as well as touring with Long John Baldry. Known to have worked with Ike & Tina Turner, Big Brother And The Holding Company and The Rolling Stones. Sam Andrew from Big Brother & The Holding Company requested her talents. She joined the band in 1969 where she appeared on: Be A Brother (1970) and How Hard It Is (1971). She has also played a crucial role in the bands retrospective album Can’t Go Home Again (1997).
