Sergio Portaluri

Italian producer, musician, composer and arranger. Sergio Portaluri was born in Trieste on the 15th April 1961. He fell in love with the Beatles at the age of 4 and started learning the guitar by himslelf. In 1970 he entered a music school. In 1972 he attended the Conservatory of Trieste. At this time, his favourite groups were Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, Yes... He started his musical carrer back in 1978 as bassist and guitarist. In the early 80s, he produced the first songs of Italian artists such as Ron, Fabrizio De Andrè, Marco Ferradini, Ivan Graziani, Lucio Dalla, Goran Kuzminac, and Adriano Celentano. Later he got specialized into keyboarding, sound programming and everything that went around computerizing sound engeneering. The team he created with David Sion and Fulvio Zafret was called "De Point Production". He contributed to Italian projects such as Jovanotti, Scialpi, Bungaro, and 883. Then in 1993 he created a producers team called Plastika Team with Claudio Zennaro, Mario Pinosa and still Fulvio Zafret. They stood behing the projects such as Mo-Do, Einstein Dr Deejay, Shannon, Afrika Bambaataa, Code-K, DJ Visage (in collaboration with N. Reichart from Imperio and C. Zennaro from Einstein Dr Deejay)... leading to 4 Gold records and 2 platin records in Germany, Austria and Belgium for Mo-Do's Eins Zwei Polizei.. He also did some remixes, for 49ers, James Howard, DSK, Sima, Korda, Mark Antony, Amnesia...
