a.k.a. Κάτης [Catis= Cat in Cretan idiomatism] Cretan artist [Mandolin, Vocals, Songwriter] born in 1973 at Anogeia, Mylopotamos, Crete, Greece. His "παρανόμι" [nickname] was his father's nick name at first, which transferred to him as a firstborn son. His father "gain" it by helping a woman that she couldn't spell the letter "R", she called him Socrati [Socretes] but without spelling the ''r''= So-catis, and in the end called him "Cati"] Cretan artist [Vocals, Mandolin] Born in Anogeia, Mylopotamos, Crete, Greece His first public appearance was with [a=Νικηφόρος Αεράκης] in Herakleion, Crete, which he became his mentor. [a=Μύρων Σκουλάς] was also his mentor who motivated him to recordings, and took him by his side in "Καντάδες [Kantades = Artists that went in the night along with "someone in love, to sing all together under the window of girl he was in love with.."]" He has a unique way of singing "mantinades", also through [a=Μύρων Σκουλάς] he got to know distinguished artists such as: Μανώλης Αεράκης [Πολομανώλης], [a=Ιωάννης Σταυρακάκης] father: Μανώλης Σταυρακάκης [Μερτζάνης], Κωνσταντίνος Σκουλάς [Σωπατόκωστας], [a=Μανώλης Πασπαράκης] [Στραβός], Χαράλαμπος Εμμ.
