The Lovemongers

The Lovemongers (1991–2001) were a side project of singer / song writing / musicians and sisters: [a299585] & [a276418] (from the band [a136201]) — based in Seattle, Washington, USA. The Lovemongers originated because the sisters felt kind of overinflated by the end of the 1980s. Seeing that the whole rock style was turning on its ear, they recognised the need to begin again, go home to Seattle and do music for the pleasure of it — not for the sporting event of it all. In the context of The Lovemongers, they did a lot of things musically that they felt too confined to do in the band [a136201]. According to Ann, the path [i]Heart[/i] were on had become really uncomfortable, and then by the time they got to the early 1990s they said, "OK, we're done with this. We're nobody's damn servant."
