Lars Aldman

Swedish news reporter, radioman and musician, born June 5, 1951 in Bromma, Stockholm. In 1971 he got an internship at the local radio in Borås. He stayed at Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Television for the rest of his career. During the latter part of the 1970s, Aldman recorded two music albums, which were released on the record label Nacksving. At first, musicians such as Bengt Blomgren and Bernt Andersson, both from Nynningen, participated, but later he formed his own band, Haffsorkestern, which consisted of Stefan Sandberg (guitar, saxophone), Pelle Ohlsson (violin, flute, guitar), Kjell Bengtsson ( bass, mandolin) and Mikael Gyllenstig (drums). Aldman became a pair horse for Tomas Tengby at Sveriges Radio's youth editorial office in Gothenburg, among other things in the program Vågspel med luren. He led the music programs Bommen och Lilla Bommen which was broadcast on Swedish Radio P3, 1983-1991 where he introduced new alternative music in genres such as post-punk and indie for a Swedish audience. Over the years, Aldman had several different journalistic and technical roles on Swedish Television in Växjö, Gothenburg and Malmö. He retired from there in the summer of 2018.
