Jens Oettrich

Jens Oettrich (born March 6, 1968 in Steinfurt) is a German musician , songwriter and record producer . He lives and works in Berlin. During school Jens Oettrich played in the band Silent Amaze , with which he won a young talent competition in Steinfurt in 1985 and recorded his first album in 1986 in Steffi Stephan's studio. In 1990 he began studying musicology at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster . From 1992 he did commercial training in the record shop Das Ohr (Echo winner 1992) and worked in the "Principal Studios" in Münster from 1993, where he worked with Wolfgang Proppe and Vincent Sorg ( Erdmöbel , music collective Eigelstein), among others . In 1994 he founded the electronics project Dune with Oliver Froning aka "DJ Raw" , for which he wrote and produced a number of chart hits. The first album Dune was released by Tim Renner at Motor Music in Hamburg. The released singles Hardcore Vibes and Can't Stop Raving each achieved gold status in Germany. In 1996, Jens Oettrich recorded the album Forever at London's Abbey Road Studios together with his bandmates, as well as Will Malone and Gavin Wright. It went gold in 1997 (450,000 copies sold). The accompanying single Who Wants to Live Foreverachieves platinum status (over 500,000 records sold). In 2000 and 2001 he worked in New York and wrote and produced for US artists, e.g. Crystal Waters (Gypsy Woman). He has lived in Berlin since 2002 and works as a freelance composer, musician and producer for artists such as Diane Weigmann, Nachlader, Rich and Kool and MitteKill . He has been composing film music since 2006 , [1] for the 2nd season of the ARD series Die Stein and Heiter bis Toten as well as for the RTL series Doc meets Dorf (2013), The Jail Doctor (2014) and Men! – Everything at the beginning (2014). In 2015 he created i.a. the music for Disney's Binny and the Ghost as well as for the VOX series Club der rote bands , which received the German Television Award 2016 i. a. was nominated in the category "Best Music". The music of the ZDF series Professor T.(2017-2020) and the VOX series "Tonis Welt" (2021) also wrote Oettrich.
