Peter Robinson

Composer - arranger - keyboardist. [b]Not to be confused with [a=Pete Robinson (2)]![/b] Born on 16 September 1945, Buckinghamshire, U.K. He studied piano and composition at the Royal Academy of Music and enjoyed a successful career as a session keyboardist throughout the 1970s, working with artists such as [a=Quatermass (3)], [a=Brand X (3)], [a=Phil Collins], [a=Mike Rutherford], [a=Shawn Phillips (2)], [a=Stanley Clarke], [a=Carly Simon], [a=Bryan Ferry], [a=Stealers Wheel], [a=Andrew Lloyd Webber] and others. He made his film music debut as a solo composer in 1985, scoring a number of successful films including [i]Cocktail[/i], [i]Blind Fury[/i], [i]Cadillac Man[/i], [i]Encino Man[/i], [i]Wayne's World[/i], [i]Wes Craven's New Nightmare[/i], [i]Highlander III: The Sorcerer[/i], [i]Vampire in Brooklyn[/i], [i]Rumble in the Bronx[/i], and [i]The World’s Fastest Indian[/i]. Also contributed music to a number of acclaimed TV series, including [i]The Wonder Years[/i], [i]Tales from the Crypt[/i], [i]Eerie Indiana[/i], [i]Charmed[/i] and [i]The Handler[/i]. As a successful pop arranger, he has collaborated with [a=Eric Clapton], [a=Manhattan Transfer], [a=Al Jarreau] and [a=Melissa Etheridge].
