Nicola Melville
Nicola Melville is a US-based New Zealand pianist and an associate professor at Carleton College in Minnesota, where she heads the piano and chamber music programs. She has been involved in numerous interdisciplinary projects with composers, dancers, filmmakers and visual artists, including collaborations with Berlin-based Mark Coniglio, prolific New Zealand/UK composer Christopher Norton, cellist [a=Jeffrey Zeigler] (formerly of the [a=Kronos Quartet]), and violinist [a=Christopher Otto] of [a=The JACK Quartet]. Nikki Melville performed her works in Chile, Sweden, Finland, New Zealand, and all over the States. She won both the National Concerto Competition and the Auckland Star Concerto Competition in New Zealand and received prizes at several competitions in States. Melville attended Victoria University School of Music at Wellington and received Masters and Doctorate degrees from the [l=Eastman School of Music].
