Trombonist, sousaphonist, bandleader, composer, and teacher based in Adelaide, South Australia. In addition to freelancing, Alex is a lecturer in jazz trombone and brass at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. In 2017, Alex was a semi-finalist in the Australian National Jazz Awards.
