Johann Christoph Pepusch

German-born composer who spent most of his working life in England. Born 1667 in Berlin, died July 20, 1752 in London. Also known as John Christopher Pepusch and Dr Pepusch, he is best remembered for his arrangement of the music for "The Beggar's Opera" (1728), to the libretto of [a=John Gay].
