Amsterdams Philharmonisch Orkest

Dutch orchestra from Amsterdam that was previously known as the [a=Kunstmaandorkest]. In June 1969 the yearly Kunstmaand event, which the orchestra was named after, was discontinued and the Kunstmaandorkest officially changed its name to Amsterdams Philharmonisch Orkest. [a=Anton Kersjes] was the conductor. In 1985, the orchestra merged into the [a=Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest (2)].
