Irish fiddler, born 1957 in Dublin and began working professionally at age 16. Has recorded and toured Europe extensively, both solo and with several influential Irish groups, including [a=The Chieftains], [a=Patrick Street], and [a=Planxty]. Has also been presenter of the “Pure Drop” series for Irish TV. Son of Clare musician [a1259647], brother of fiddler [a=John Kelly (9)].
