Eddie Stone (2)

American Big band leader, singer, pianist, violinist and songwriter. Born 1907 in Bicknell, Indiana. Died June 26, 1983. He sang and played violin with Isham Jones before starting his own band. Stone led a 9-piece band that recorded in the 1930's. He later rejoined Jones for a bit before joining Freddy Martin's band in 1939. In all, he was with Jones for 15 years and Martin for 5. In 1943, he again formed his own band, steadily playing into the 1950s, and intermittently through the 1970s.
