Μπάμπης Μαρκάκης

Babis Markakis was a Greek singer and composer. Born in Thessaloniki, 1933 and passed away on February 15, 2003 in Thessaloniki. Established with his own compositions in the mid-1960s, such as «Μες σε ξένους τόπους», «Πανικός», «Μεγάλη θλίψη», «Πληγωμένοι κι οι δυο», «Ένα αντίο πικρό», «Το τέλος», «Μαύρη κατάρα» and others. In 1960 he made huge sales for the 45 rpm disc "Το σπαθί του Χατζημπαμπά" For a long period (1973-1985) he lived in Boston, US with his family. The last years of his life spent in Meteora Neapolis, Thessaloniki.
