Established in 1936 by a decision of the Committee on the Arts. Art director - [a=Матвей Блантер] (Matvei Blanter), musical director (main conductor) - [a=Виктор Кнушевицкий] (Viktor Knushevsky). In 1941 a large group of musicians during wartime tour was encircled and destroyed. After the war, the orchestra is not restored.
