Erzherzog Rudolf von Österreich

Rudolf was Archduke and Prince Imperial of Austria, who was born on 8 January 1788 in Pisa, Italy. He was the youngest son of Emperor Leopold II and Maria Louisa of Spain. In 1803 or 1804, Rudolf became a student of [a=Ludwig van Beethoven], who taught him piano and composition. Rudolf was appointed Archbishop of Olomouc in 1819 and cardinal in 1820. He died on 23 July 1831 in Baden.
