Douggie Reece

English & Australian Musician, Bass Player, Vocalist, Arranger, Musical Director & Record Producer. I was Born in England. In 1958 I became a professional musician working extensively throughout Britain, Ireland, USA, Europe, Canada, South Africa, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand. I worked & played with many well known artists from around the World also being the Musical Director for "Dusty Springfield" and "John Rowles". I became the Leader and Bass Player for "The Echoes" during the 60's. While we were together we did many recordings as a group, but also played on many records for other artist who's records were released in the UK as well as around the World. I was asked to do the arrangement for "The Chantells" of a song called "Please Don't Kiss Me" which was included in the Movie "Dateline Diamonds" in 1965 for The Rank Organization. The film was released 3rd April 1966. In 1971 I went to live and work in Melbourne Australia. Since that time I was employed by "The Image Music Group" in Melbourne. I arranged & produced many records in my own right for this company. After leaving Image I became music co-ordinator for "Channel Nine Melbourne" television company from 1977-1983. In 1984 I worked for "Television House" who produced "Young Talent Time" and "RBX Recording Studios" While I was there I arranged and worked on three television series which were shown here in Australia as well as overseas. They were "Sugar & Spice", "Pugwell" & "Pugwell Summer" Since that time I have arranged and directed many concerts and shows here in Australia.
