Formed out of the ashes of the eclectic indie-rock outfit [a=Toenut], the Atlanta-based synth-pop duo Tyro features vocalist/keyboardist Katie Hartley and guitarist/keyboardist Skipper Hartley. After Toenut's demise in the late '90s, the Hartleys holed up in their home studio and recorded much of what would become Audiocards, Tyro's debut album. After some final polishing and bass playing by Jason Hartley, Audiocards was released by Mute -- Toenut's former home -- in fall 2000.
