Anna Barsotti

Anna Barsotti, born on April 6, 1945 in Stockholm, Sweden, is an educated psychologist but has mainly worked as pedagogical consult, interpreter and translator from Italian to Swedish, and as author. Anna met [a2272040] in the mid 1960s in Italy and, after travelling between the two countries for three years, they got married and settled down in Sweden in 1968. In the 1970s, they took both active parts in [a3133122], a music group which gave different performances and also released three LPs of their songs. Inspired by the pedagogical work which is done on daily basis at the municipal pre-schools in Reggio Emilia in Italy, Anna Barsotti and collegues of her started a Reggio Emilia Institute in Stockholm, established in 1993. During her many visits to Italy, she has also been an active part in introducing the slow food concept to the Italians. Anna and Carlo Barsotti, with the help from their daughter Elvira in recent years, have also translated all of the theatre plays by [a712689] to Swedish.
