DJ from St. Petersburg, one of the founders of the Russian drum and bass scene. Became hooked on Jungle after hearing [a17291] in 1995. "I immediately understood that this is what I want to do. I really wanted to join this movement, but at that time the information was taken from some crumbling magazine, leafed through a thousand times, and therefore there was no opportunity to get to know this culture more closely" - he recalls. The following year, in collaboration with [a1229852], a promo group was created, DA BASS Sound System. "We were the first to acquaint St. Petersburg, and probably the whole of Russia, with this music." Due to dominance of techno and house music at that time, it was not possible to play very often. But over time, this music gained constant fans, who never missed a single performance. One of the first parties, remembered for the scale, was called "Jungle Attak" in the Тень (Shadow) club. It gathered about 1000 people. Since 1997 Andrey has been working at the Порт FM (Port-FM) radio program "Ricochet". Radio broadcasts were a huge impetus for the development and popularization of this genre. At that time he also played at a party with [a=Rob Playford] at the Port club (it was the first visit of a D'n'B musician of this level to Russia.) At the same time, the first mix-tape was released, which was very popular and sold in a very large circulation. From that moment on, touring activities began. From the next year he was a resident of the МАМА (MAMA) club. In 1999 he was engaged in the program "Синдикат" (Syndicate), broadcasted on Radio Record. A year later, he participated in the opening of a store for jungle fans, called Mecca. In subsequent years, large festivals with foreign headliners at the top of line-ups began to take over club venues - not without the help of Andrey. In 2002 he began collecting and playing various styles of house music, from deep to tech and electro house - under the pseudonym DJ 2K. "I never got hung up on a particular musical direction. I was always attracted to a new interesting sound" - he says.
