Joe Meek

English record producer, recording engineer and songwriter. His biggest hit was "[r=1240431]" by [a=The Tornados] (1962). He was born on April 5, 1929 in Newent, Gloucestershire and died by murder-suicide, killing his landlady then himself, on February 3, 1967 in London. He is considered the UK’s first independent pop record producer. Co-owner of [L=R.G.M. Sound].
