Manolo Quirós

Born on March 1, 1949 in Ricabo (Asturias, Spain). Passed away on March 3, 2001 in Oviedo (Asturias, Spain). One of the leading artists playing the Asturian Bagpipes and revitalizer of its use in the most diverse contexts of Asturian music in the 70s of the 20th century. Also pioneer in the fusion between Asturian folk and Celtic instrumental music with other styles.
