Marco Postacchini
Marco Postacchini is an Italian jazz saxophonist. He graduated in Saxophone at the Conservatory of Fermo and in Band Instrumentation, Composition and Jazz (composition, arrangement and Jazz orchestra leader) at the Conservatory of Pesaro. In 2011 he studied with Hal Crook, teacher at the Berklee College of Music. He regularly performs with the following bands: Marco Postacchini octet MP's Jazzy Bunch (as leader and music composer), Machine Head quartet, Blackbird sextet, Vertex quintet, Roberto Zechini Quintet "A deep surface", Out of the Blues quartet, Manzi - Solarino Quintet, A Remarke you made – tribute to Weather Report, the Colours Jazz Orchestra, the Riccione Jazz Orchestra, the Rolli's Tones Big Band, Gabriele Pesaresi quintet, Havona, Filippo Gallo Quintet, Italian Jazz Orchestra, Paolo Belli Big Band. He has had many recording collaborations as side-man and has published three albums in his name, all of them recorded with Marco Postacchini Octet and produced by Not.A.Mi., comprising both jazz standards and original music: "Lazy Saturday" (2010) and "Do you agree?" (2013; with guest appearance by Fabrizio Bosso), "Old stuff, new box" (2018 - with guest appearance by Ada Montellanico and Fabio Zeppetella).
