Pete Rodriguez

(Not to be confused with [a2007387], also known as The King Of Boogaloo) Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez was born 31 January 1933 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He started his career as percussionist and later became singer and band leader known as El Conde (The Count). In the 1963 released his first album but his success came with his recordings on [l36950], especially in the early 1970's after leaving [a15794]. He passed away of a heart failure 1 December 2000 in New York. Father of [a=Pete Rodriguez, Jr.].
