Band lineup: [b]Lynnelle Moran[/b] (Vocals & Accordian), [b]Chris Hale[/b] (Acoustic Bass, Electric Bass), [b]Lachlan Carrick[/b] (Programming, Rhodes, Pianette, Synthesiser), [b]Dan West[/b] (Programming, Guitars, Effects, Synthesiser), [b]Roy John[/b] (Programming, Dubs) Conceived in 1999 in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. They have moved slowly away from a more traditional "band" format towards more electronic influences in their songwriting. [i]Velure's sound blends trip hop, dub and drum and bass flavours through the use of synthetic and organic elements.[/i] They've been recognized with awards, including: Australian Fringe Festival award for electronic composition in 2003 and a touring grant from the Australian Council for the Arts for their tour of the East Coast September and October 2004. October 2005 saw the release of their debut album, [i]Care For Fading Embers[/i]
