Alexandre Julien

Alexander Julien (born January 15, 1988 in Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian-American musician, composer and producer. In 2006 he co-founded the record label [l=Mortification Records] (2006–2010), which was operated by the members of [a=Triskalyon], and in 2008 founded his own record label [l=Abridged Pause Recordings]. Julien also established the audio recording and graphic design studio [l=Mortified Studio] (in Edison, New Jersey, United States), which changed name to [l=Mortified Studios] once it relocated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 2007. Additionally, he operates the music and text publishing firm [l=Abridged Pause Publishing], the short film production company Abridged Pause Productions, the webzine Abridged Pause Blog and the merchandising company Abridged Pause Apparel; all imprints of umbrella company Abridged Pause Enterprises. Julien is also a music and film researcher and biographer, publishing some of his works on Abridged Pause Blog. Grandson of [a=Pierrette Bourdon]; nephew of [a=Pierre Bourdon] and [a=Stéphane Fania]; brother of [a=Catherine Julien]; cousin of [a=Maxime Julien].
