Simone Serafini

Italian jazz bassist, double bass player, composer, teacher he graduated in classic double bass under the guidance of Maestro Stefano Sciascia and jazz music at G. Tartini Conservatory of Trieste. He has won several "first prizes" including: Targa Tenco 2014 with the album "Penisolati" by L. Vescovo, Chicco Bettinardi, Barga Jazz, International Jazz Competition of Cons. Santa Cecilia, Award of the Arts “Targa P.Jeffreyed received the I.A.S.J. Scholarship at the Siena Jazz summer seminars of 2006 to represent Italy and Siena Jazz at an international meeting directed by Dave Liebman. He collaborates with many musicians on the jazz and non-jazz scene, including F. Cerri, J. Locke, N. Veras, F. Bearzatti, F. Bosso, P. Fresu, S. Henderson, J. Dludlu, D.Brown, K. Gesing, R. Gould, D. Menza, B. Margolin, J. Stowell, M. Gibbs, T.Honsinger, M. Negri, M. Giammarco, P. Tonolo, M. Tamburini, G. Falzone, G.Maier, E. Crivellaro, G. Venier, A. Onorato, G. Telesforo, M. Ionata L. Malaguti, P.Soave, B. Lauzi; has participated in various festivals and concerts in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia. He is currently professor of bass jazz at the “A. Corelli ”by Messina. As a bass player and double bass player, he is present in over 80 publications
