Gordon Slater

A carillonneur, conductor, bassoonist, and organist, Gordon Slater was born August 22, 1950, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was appointed Canada's fourth Dominion Carillonneur in 1977 and he retired from the position in 2008. In this role, he performed regularly on the carillon in the Peace Tower of the Parliament Buildings in Canada's national capital, the city of Ottawa.
