Rap group from Houston, Texas. The reason [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/4946085-Mike-Moe-4]Mike Moe[/url] came up with the name [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/195908-Beltway-8]Beltway-8[/url] was because [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/194282-DJ-Screw-2]DJ Screw[/url] was representing the South Side and [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/192677-Michael-5000-Watts]DJ Michael "5000" Watts[/url] was representing the North Side. "I was from the South Side but I had friends on the North Side, I had friends on the East and West. The Beltway 8 [Toll Road] goes all the way around Houston. I was going to unify the plex Houston had at the time with the South Side/North Side thing. That’s how I came up with Beltway 8. And the first one that came to mind was “Your Hood My Hood”, it had everybody from the North Side to the South Side on It".
