Jacques Tardi

Mainly credited [b]Tardi[/b]. French comics artist and writer, born August 30, 1946 in Valence, Drôme. Jacques Tardi studied at the School of Fine Arts in Lyon, then at the Decorative Arts in Paris. He made his debut in 1969 in the weekly magazine Pilote and, in 1976, began his series "Adèle Blanc-Sec" with Casterman, which will be adapted for the cinema in 2010. He drew some press illustrations for [l=Charlie Hebdo] from 1992 to 1996. He's married to [a=Dominique Grange].
