Γιώργος Κονιτόπουλος

Yorgos Konitopoulos was a Greek folk violinist, songwriter & singer of the Cycladic style. Born 4 June 1933 in Athens, Greece - Died 18 June 1991 on Paros island. He was the son of [a4051755] and brother of [a=Ειρήνη Κονιτοπούλου-Λεγάκη], [a=Κώστας Κονιτόπουλος], [a2447828] & [a1022148]. Nephew of [a2919080]. Cousin of [a=Κούλα Κονιτοπούλου]. In 1963, he married [a4519384] with whom they had two children, Michalis Konitopoulos & [a2446488]. Uncle of [a1859493] (Irene's daughter), [a=Στέλλα Κονιτοπούλου] (Angeliki's daughter), [a=Βασίλης Κλουβάτος] (Angeliki's son), [a=Μαρία Κονιτοπούλου] (Angeliki's daughter], and [a=Μιχάλης Κονιτόπουλος (2)] (Vangelis' son). In 1979, the five siblings opened the legendary 'Muragio' club together, which closed in the late 1980s.
