Rignald Recordino

Rignald Silvestre Recordino was born on 31 December 1950. He accompanied the Tumba King in the Carnival parades eight times because of his winning compositions, arrangements, and melodies. His efforts to let the people of Curaçao enjoy music responsibly made him start the band “Super Speshal Combo” or “Super Special Stars”. He next continued to make music under the name “Doble R Special Stars” in 1975. Doble R is without a doubt a legend in Curaçao. The band was named after Recordino and became big with the local "salsa antiyana", sung in Papiamentu. [a2084220] was the first star singer, after that [a562554] was the singer on the classic LP 'la Vida Continua' in 1978.
