Τέτος Δημητριάδης

Tetos Demetriades (4 December 1897 or 1902, Constantinople - 26 September 1971, Bergen, New Jersey, USA) was a Greek singer, record producer, record company owner. Brother of [a4905658]. Married to [a4919290]. At the end of World War II he run his own label. Many of his elafro recordings were accompanied either by [a675270]'s orchestra or by [a=Victor Symphony Orchestra]. According to [a=Dick Spottswood], Tetos Demetriades was the first artist, who recorded the song "Misirlou", in New York in July 1927 ([r=13298132]), and not [a=Nicholas Roubanis], who performed the jazz version of the song in 1941.
