Name variations: Vincent Dennis, Vince Du Juan Dennis Dennis was born and grew up in South Central, later relocating to Pomona in eastern Los Angeles County, where he began skateboarding and became involved with a local punk scene as a roadie. In 1988, Vince joined the speed metal band [a=Steel Prophet]. He played bass in [a6392882] and its short-lived successor, [a=World In Pain], recording on 1994–95 demos, and performed on bass with [a=Prong] on a 1996 live tour. Vince Dennis was a member of [a=Tourniquet], appearing on the '98 [m=3207642] album and [r=14878310] video, and reportedly played with [a4215270] (even though the band's only known release, [r=6564724] CD, credited [a=Elrich Von Vader (2)] as bassist). In 2001, he joined [a=Ice-T]'s metal band Body Count, replacing [a=Griz]. Vince stepped away from [a=Steel Prophet] around 2004 after recording the group's ninth album, [m=487443], for a worldwide tour with Body Count; he returned to Steel Prophet three years later. Circa 2006, Dennis began playing electric guitar in [a=Obscene Gesture], recording on both albums and the final EP. His notable guest appearances include playing bass on [a=Agent Steel]'s 1999 album [m=277200], recording on [a=Conjuration]'s 2004 [m=645096], the [r=4139345] EP by [a=Dia De Los Muertos], and with [a=downset.] on the band's 2022 album, [m=2688479]. As a music technician, Vince Dennis worked with [a=Prince] for several years with his old friend, guitar tech [a=Takumi Suetsugu]. He served as keyboards & horns technician on the Musicology Live 2004ever US tour, among other events. Vincent built custom pyramid-shaped purple guitar cabinets for [a=Prince] — several years before Jamie Scott's 3rd Power Amps introduced their well-known "pyramidal" model; it's unknown if and when Prince ever used them. In the following years, Dennis extensively collaborated with [a=Chris Cornell], solo and in [a=Soundgarden], [a=Temple Of The Dog], and [a=Audioslave]; he participated in Cornell's final tour in 2017.
