Matto Le D.

Matto Le D. is a Belgian musician and graphic designer. Born in 1971, he graduated as an animation filmer in 1994 and is currently teaching at Sint-Lucas Art Academy Ghent. Influenced by the Atomic Style popular in Belgian comic strips during the 1980s, he has designed record covers (e.g. for Fifty Foot Combo and The Madd) and has worked for De Standaard, Vacature & Mao Magazine and for the Pink Flamingo bar in Ghent. He started painting in 1996 and had exhibitions in Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands and the US. As a musician, Matto Le D. has played organ in The Error Team and Fifty Foot Combo, and Rhoses for Secret Fez Society. He has also provided The Spacefarmers with vocals.
