Jim Galloway

Canadian saxophonist (soprano, tenor, baritone), clarinetist and bandleader, born 28 July 1936 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland. In Glasgow he worked with Alex Dulgleish and led the Jazzmakers; emigrated to Canada in 1964. Led the Metro Stompers 1968, formed swing group [a=Jim Galloway's Wee Big Band] in 1978, host of weekly radio show "Toronto Alive!" from 1981. He died on December 30, 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
