3 Balls Of Fire

Surf rock band based in both Austin, Texas and Los Angeles, CA, fronted by guitarist/bandleader/composer Burnin' Mike Vernon with an ever-changing rhythm section. Vernon formed the group in Austin in 1987. The original bassist and drummer, Vic Gerrard and Chris Staples, left in 1989 to join Two Hoots & A Holler. They were replaced by Jackie Newhouse on bass, Steve Fulton on guitar and drums and other local musicians as needed. Vernon moved the group to California in 2008 and in 2013 put together a new version of the group with Ted Hamer on piano, Doug Synder on bass and Chris Roberts on drums.
