Лаки Кесоглу

(July 22, 1939, Batumi, Georgian SSR, USSR) Soviet and Kazakh pop singer, music teacher, professor. "The most popular Greek of Kazakhstan". People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1989), laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2014) and the independent platinum award "Tarlan" (2003). He studied music in Chimkent before moving to Alma-Ata (currently Almaty). He worked at Alma-Ata conservatory, and later became professor at the National Kazakh Arts Academy.
