Kučerovci

Czech pop and folk group, specialized on interpreting world music from all continents. Founded in 1946 as the “Phillippines Hawaiians” by [a=Václav Kučera (2)] with his wife [a=Marta Kučerová]. Renamed to “Skupina Václava Kučery” (Václav Kučera’s Group) in 1952, but since then mostly credited as “Kučerovci”. Marta Kučerová was replaced in 1968 by Kučera’s second wife [a=Olga Kučerová]. Since Kučera’s death in 1983 the group is led by [a=Jan Hromas]. Still actively performing as of 2010.
