American record producer, manager and movie director. Married to [a=Shelley Fabares] (1964-1966, formally divorced in 1980) and in relationship with [a389619] (1972-1974). Father of [a1017765]. Founder and co-owner of [l=Dunhill] (label of which he is also president and chief record producer from 1964 to 1967) and founder of [l36012] (1967). In 1967, he co-organized the [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/418444-Monterey-Pop-Festival]Monterey International Pop Festival[/url] and served as its Director. Inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 (Ahmet Ertegun Award). Born: December 13, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
