Juan Castro Nalli

Juan Carlos Castro Nalli, composer and concert pianist born in Lima, Peru in August 17, 1940. He started his music studies with Edgar Valcárcel and Rosa Mercedes Ayarza de Morales. He graduated as a lawyer at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and then traveled to Spain to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, with the teachers Américo Caramuta, Enrique Igoa and Carmen Rosa Capote. He has worked with greatest artists as Chabuca Granda and composed for various genres such as piano, cello, theatre, classical dance, Peruvian folklore, Brazilian, Arabic and Russian. It has been presented in more than fifty countries all over the world as Cultural Ambassador of Peru, accompanied by the most prestigious musicians and orchestras. Juan Castro Nalli is considered one of the most important composers and pianists of contemporary Peru.
