Josef Bohuslav Foerster

Czech composer of classical music. Born December 30, 1859 in Prague. Died May 29, 1951 in Nový Vestec. Grand uncle of [a=Luboš Sluka]. He is often referred to as J. B. Foerster. Foerster wrote around 200 works, among them 5 symphonies, 6 extent choral works (predominantly masses) and numerous orchestral, concertant and chamber compositions. His music is considered very subjective and personal, mystical and idealistic.
