Leo Reisman

American band leader and violinist, born 1897 in Boston, Massachusetts, died December 18, 1961. Reisman formed own band in 1919, with which he performed at Hotel Brunswick until 1929, then at Central Park Casino, New York. Lead highly successful orchestra in the 1930s and 1940s, with long contracts at Waldorf Astoria, New York. Mainly active as a conductor during the last 15 years of his life.
