Andrew Watson (4)

From Melbourne, Andrew Watson is a multi-instrumentalist who performs both as a solo musician and as a member of a number of bands. He weaves violin, guitar, noise and loops into a live instrumental soundtrack blending post classical, post rock and improvised styles. His solo project, The Man Who Wasn’t There, has performed in venues ranging from small bars to less traditional venues, such as Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Buildings; The Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London; and Panjim Beach in Goa, India. Watson recently collaborated with celebrated spoken word artist, Emilie Zoey Baker, on a project titled ‘Dear All The Women Who Ever Existed Over The Entire Span Of Human History’, which raised funds for the Acid Survivors Trust International. In 2016, he performed shows in India, England and France, and will be returning to Europe later this year to perform at various venues, including the London’s Bloomsbury Festival in October. Watson was the principle composer for The Interim Lovers, co-scored the Melbourne International Arts Festival show ‘Elemental’. He has recorded and performed live with a host of bands which including, but are not limited to, Slow Dissolve, Waywardbreed, MJ Halloran, Brian Hooper (Beasts of Bourbon), Midnight Scavengers, Charlie Marshall & The Body Electric / Charlie Marshall & The Curious Minds, Joshua Seymour Band, The Interim Lovers & Vampillia (Japan). The Man Who Wasn’t There’s debut album, REB 26.07.14, is out through Hawk Moth Records.
