Akademski Hor "Obilić" AKUD "Branko Krsmanović"

The Academic Choir "Obilić" was founded in 1884 at the University of Belgrade, under the name Akademsko pevačko društvo “Obilić”. The gigs were conducted by the giants of the Serbian music scene, such as Josif Marinković, Stanislav Binički, Jovan Bandur, Lovro Matačić, Svetolik Pašćan and Branko Dragutinović. A few years after the restoration of work (1945), under the leadership of maestro Bogdan Babić, now under the name of "Branko Krsmanović" the choir becomes a significant factor in the then Yugoslav musical scene. Since 1981, choir is choreographed by professor emeritus Ms. Darinka Matić Marović. Acting within the "Branko Krsmanović" Society, in 1991 choir returned its original name "Obilić".
