American pop singer-songwriter and actor. Born September 10, 1929 in North Bergen, New Jersey, USA. Died September 15, 1979 in Houston, Texas, USA. Stepfather of actress [a3440595]. He sang spots on various American TV variety shows, as well as occasional acting roles, for years before taking a singing gig in Sydney, Australia in 1966. He had some success on the Australian music charts in the 1950's. He moved there in 1968 with his wife and stepdaughter.
